Job Summary
The Scheduling Coordinator is an administrative professional who assists clinical directors, coordinators and House Supervisors with various activities related to the daily operations of the Nursing Service Office. The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for monitoring work schedules for assigned departments and personnel. This includes monitoring staffing levels based on patient volume, communicating with staff regarding staffing needs and their individual schedules, and working closely with leadership to ensure adequate staffing is available on assigned nursing units.

Job Responsibilities
- Schedule Med-Surg and Acute Rehab staff. Maintain records for employees in the computer system and assist with staffing for other departments as requested.
- Monitor patient census and acuity and take the lead on acquiring staff to fill vacant shifts or adjusting staff schedules to cover needed areas using knowledge of each staff member's skill level and ability.
- Review and edit employee timecards for assigned units and staff.
- Maintaining unit specific policies and procedures.
- Perform a variety of clerical duties which include typing and preparation of department forms, memos, letters and department statistics.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
- Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Associate's Degree
Experience Requirements
- Minimum: One (1) year Office Management. Experience with medical terminology, staffing knowledge, and staffing computer systems.
